Today we looked at prisms! We learned how the formulas for finding surface area and volume were derived and we did the necessary calculations to solve various problem involving prisms. Use your textbook to recall the examples we covered in class.
Volume of Prism = Base area x Height
Area of Prism = Perimeter of base x height of prism + (2 x base area)
Homework: Exercise 13.2 (page 100) # 1 (all)
Note: Be sure to complete all parts of the question. Each shape requires you to draw the net of the prism and find its volume and total surface area.
