8th - Exponent Review

Exponents can get confusing when there are so many laws to follow.  Being confident and comfortable working with exponents will help with your understanding of algebraic manipulation.  Here are a few videos that might help if you are having a tough time remembering the different laws.

Reminders from class:

  • Exponents outside parentheses apply to EVERY coefficient/variable/constant that is in the parenthesis
  • Terms with different bases cannot be combined
