7th Grade - Inverse Proportion

We have learned that when two quantities x and y are in direct proportion, both x and y increase or decrease at the same rate.

However, in our daily life, we do come across situations where an increase in one quantity results in a corresponding decrease in another related quantity or vice versa.

For instance, when a motorist travels at higher speeds, the time taken to cover a certain distance is reduced.
