7th Grade - Square and Cube Roots

Today we learned how to find the square and cube roots of larger numbers by prime factoring and using exponential notation. Please use your textbook to help recall examples we discussed in class. The videos below might also be helpful.

Remember the steps we did in class:
1. Prime factor
2. Write in exponential notation
3. Split the prime factors into two/three even groups

Homework: Exercise 1.5 (page 20-21) #1 – 2 (a – d) , #3 and 4
