8th - Taking Notes! Being Prepared!

You've spent the week learning, practicing and mastering exponents!  Phew!  From looking at your homework, it seems like you all need just a little recap of negative exponents.  Please watch the video below, with a pencil and graph paper, and do the problems that are explained in the video (just follow along, but write down the problem as he goes)

Science
What does it mean to build a foundation?

After learning about tectonic plates and their impact on the Earth’s surface, you will choose one natural disaster (Earthquakes or Tsunamis), and create a 1-2 minute PSA (public service announcement) using stop-motion animation.  Your video must include how plate tectonics lead to the disaster, background information on natural phenomenon and how people should act in these dangerous, life-threatening situations.
